The Evolution of Healing

Somewhere along the way, wellness became complicated. Fragmented. A checklist of appointments and prescriptions and self-help systems that never quite added up to feeling whole.

You don't have to have it figured out to begin. Healing is not a destination with a fixed arrival point. It's an ongoing, deeply personal process of returning to yourself.

Whether your inner life is rooted in faith, found in nature, or currently unfolding through deconstruction and questioning, it belongs here.

We hold space for all of it.

Our Story

For nearly 20 years, Jess has lived at the intersection of education and human potential as an educator, a certified wellness coach, a behavioral therapist, and a scholar completing her second master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. Her academic roots are in literature and art. She shares the belief that stories shape us, that beauty is a form of truth, and that meaning can be made even in the hardest seasons.

Her most formative education, though, happened outside any classroom. After years of faith, she walked through her own deconstruction; the quiet, disorienting, and ultimately liberating process of releasing what no longer fit. That experience became a compass. She began to understand that healing is rarely linear, rarely prescribed, and almost never found in someone else's system.

So she built her own.

Verity & Veda began as Jess's answer to a question she kept hearing — from clients, from students, from people quietly struggling at the margins of their own lives: Is there a place that meets me where I am?

The answer became yes.

Jess

Amanda

Jess and Amanda have known each other since their teenage years, long enough to have witnessed each other's becoming. They have walked parallel spiritual paths, diverged, circled back, and found each other again with deeper understanding each time.

Amanda spent years quietly honing her gifts as a Reiki practitioner, learning to work with energy the way a musician learns to work with silence, with attention, patience, and deep respect for what cannot always be explained. She and Jess are both intuitive. They both understand, in the way you can only know through lived experience, that energy is real and that the body is a storage vessel for that energy.

They are careful to say: we are not healers. That word belongs to each person who does the hard work of returning to themselves. What Amanda and Jess carry are tools and the earned wisdom to know how to use them.

It was Amanda who first suggested they share what they had. They started with tinctures, crafted with intention, sold to friends and family and coworkers. They watched something unexpected happen. People didn't just want the product. They wanted to talk. They wanted to understand. They wanted to belong to something.

That was the beginning of the community.

Steph

Steph came into the fold the way the right people always do, through shared purpose. She met Amanda through Reiki practitioner training, and the connection was immediate. Here was someone who understood that the body and the spirit are not separate, that movement can be medicine, that stillness and strength are not opposites.

Steph is a certified yoga instructor whose practice, Essential Yoga, weaves together the foundational principles of yoga with the energy awareness of Reiki. She doesn't ask you to become someone else on the mat. She helps you recognize who you already are.

Verity & Veda

Verity speaks to truth — the clinical reality. We draw on grounded psychological principles, wellness coaching, and somatic science to understand the why behind our struggles.

Veda speaks to wisdom — the ancestral knowing. We incorporate energy work, ritual, and botanical tools to honor the how of our healing.

Together, they represent the ongoing process of learning, unlearning, and living consciously.

Together

Three women. Three paths. One shared conviction: That healing is not a luxury. That it does not require you to abandon your skepticism, your grief, your complicated history, or your evolving sense of self.

We are building toward a physical home, a space where the coaching room, the Reiki table, the yoga mat, and the community circle all exist under one roof. Until then, we show up here.

Start where you are. That's a wonderful place to begin.
